My sojourn through the crazy world
Yes I made a commitment to lose 50 lbs because my health is more important than anything else in my life. I must lose weight so I don’t have to take any medication. I need to keep my blood pressure good and not get diabetes. I take pride in the fact that I am 54 years old and not hooked on any drugs. So I broke down and went to the dietian. This was a major step for me because I have told myself for years that I can do this by myself without any help from the outside. This is the closest I have come to getting some kind of outside intervention in my life. I should have gone to a shrink many years ago but I could not afford it so I counseled myself through many self help books and prayers. Now I need to remain centered and not use food when I hit those trigger points of stress.
So I say to myself YOU GO GIRL, you can do it.
Praise the lord. AMEN.
The apartment I stayed in was real close to this famous site in Firenze Italy. This was the view every morning when I set out to traverse the city.
A big smile was on my face each day.

Back from an awesome trip to Florence (Firenze) Italy
Yes it was such an awesome trip. I could not ask for anything better. Well take that back I could have shopped more. I dreamt of going to this beautiful city for so long and I got there. Wow it was all that I dreamt of and more. Wished I stayed for a longer time but it makes a return visit a must for me.
I drank gallons or liters of Chianti and it was so fantastic to walk for 3 1/2 hours everyday, later that evening eat good real Italian food and drink Chianti and walk back to the apartment late in the evening or night.
This is the life. I love that I am living in Europe and can get to all the places I dreamt of visiting all my life.
Thank you Jehovah for allowing me to live long enough to do this. I am eternally grateful for this privilege. In the name of Jesus. AMEN.
Me and my friend Britt were in TJ MAxx today and I just busted out crying! Then I laughed and said one day im gonna buy a Celine bag,the biggest one you can find, and hold it dear to my heart and say “Mikki you made it” …
it was one of those moments when you can actually smell the leather and see all your dreams coming true right down to that Celine bag.
i will be getting one when i come to America in a few weeks. Cheers!!
